The Tinfish story began in March '91 when our founder Pete decided to set up shop in a victorian arcade in Leicester city centre. He realised that despite the midlands being the centre of shoe manufacturing in the UK at the time there was nowhere to buy stylish and design lead footwear in the city.

Thankfully, the fashion concious Leicester population liked what Tinfish had to offer and sales boomed. We have introduced to Leicester brands such as Loake, Fly London, Birkenstock, Vagabond, Yokono, Camper, Irregular Choice, Ruby Shoo and many more, and we are always on the look out for exciting and distinctive new shoes.
