Sometime in 1908, Marquis Mills Converse decided to start a rubber shoe company, bypassing a rubber trust that prevented most companies from doing business directly with their retailers. Early catalogs bragged about how many trucks left the Converse factory in Malden, Massachusetts, delivering product directly to stores in Boston. Mr. Converse’s idea worked. But more importantly, it survived. Powered by the evangelical marketing of the iconic Chuck Taylor, after whom the quintessential hi-top boot is named. These days though, its not just C.T that’s synonymous with this classic trainer brand. Celebs from musicians to movies stars and even political pin-up Michelle Obama have been pied in a pair.

In recent times Converse has extended their brand profile collaborating with exciting artists and musicians to create fusion special edition ranges.
